After a quiet start to Q2, in the last few weeks things have gone absolutely mad on the Technical Desk at Hyperion. In the space of 2 days, we took on 25 new roles, ranging from entry level testers through senior developers and technical architects to business analysts and project managers… Rather than waiting forever for a bus and two arrive at once, I had a whole fleet turn up! Thankfully, the market seems to be bursting at the seams with top notch talent eager to take on new challenges, so no doubt there’ll be some new faces within the industry over the next few months represented by Hyperion.

Aside from all of this, I’ve just moved in to my new flat, and anyone who knows what it is like to deal with the logistics of the move, the paperwork and the demands of designing the new pad for a very ‘particular’ partner will know that it can be a stressful time! So it could be said that I’ve been burning the candle at both ends lately, but on the plus side I do now understand that matching lamp-shades with your bed linen is crucial for a happy existence.
I definitely couldn’t complain, for someone who constantly moves at 100mph I need it to be busy so I’m revelling in the extra challenges in front of me at the moment. Hopefully this trend will continue throughout Q3, which is frighteningly here now, and the technical desk at Hyperion can continue to thrive.
