It’s been a manic few weeks for the Trading desk at Hyperion. Working on a huge project for a leading operator, recruiting over 20 positions in a rapidly expanding trading department has meant long hours and plenty of caffeine. Having spoken with over 500 trading applicants and arranging 50 odd interviews, it’s good to see the first starters get their break into sports trading. The candidate market seems to have picked up as all the 2011 graduates have come available and it’s been a pleasure dealing with bright, articulate and dedicated individuals who have demonstrated a real passion for sports and betting.
I’ve also been busy with numerous other trading positions on a global scale, at entry, senior and managerial levels. It’s encouraging to see the Trading recruitment market open up to accommodate the current excess of traders looking to move on. And we haven’t even quite reached that time of year when bonuses have been issued and the feet begin to itch. It’s been the same across many verticals of the Hyperion business over the last few weeks, as a deluge of roles have hit the Commercial and Technical areas in gaming. At this rate we will need a larger interview board! Good to see all areas of the business thriving and hopefully such a volume will continue into Q3.
