Sri Lanka's odds of beating England on Saturday morning have been cut by Ladbrokes.

The bookmakers have trimmed a Sri Lankan victory to 4/9 (from 8/15) pushing England out to 7/4 despite the anticipated 'patriotic punt' this weekend.

Jonathona Trott and Andrew Strauss are the 7/2 joint favourites in the top England batsmen market with the top bowler (headed by Graeme Swann at 5/2) looking particularly close with 6 players at 4/1 or less.

India remain a massive six figure loser in the outright book as a result of some large bets placed at the start of the tournament. They have been popular throughout and in an attempt to stem the tide of money they are cut to 13/8 for the World Cup.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "We've seen money for the Sri Lankans today and despite this we're happy to see them win to knock out the popular double with the football. India still keep us awake at night in the long term and we're cheering anyone who can get in their way."
