WILL ROCKET RON HIT THE HEIGHTS AGAIN?
CRISTIANO Ronaldo is 18/1 to score more than the 42 goals that powered Manchester United to Premier and Champions League glory last season, according to Ladbrokes.
The Portuguese star, who has finally pledged his allegiance to the Old Trafford club, remains unchanged at 7/1 to finish as the top flight's leading goalscorer amid uncertainty about his fitness.
Ladbrokes spokesman Robin Hutchison said: "Ronaldo set himself such a high target last term and fans don't know when they'll next see him in a red shirt. But if he can start where he left off that 18/1 could be a pretty price.
Ronaldo is 6/5 to score more Premier League goals than Liverpool's Fernando Torres, who is 8/13, and the two men are 5/6 to score more Champions League goals for their respective clubs.
Torres, who struck 24 times in the Premier League in his debut season for Rafa Benitez's men, is Ladbrokes 4/1 favourite to finish top scorer ahead of the new season.
